Lavina mouth gaped open
"Using plants as weapons?"
she looked at the vines which wrapped around holding the swing up
"That's horrid who would do such a things, plants are living things and they deserve to be treated with care and kindness"
she looked back at Desharin
"There isn't any of them like that now is there?"

Desharin looked up into the clouds.
"The only ones who could use their powers so were those of the royal line. The last ruler to use the plants in that way was your grandfather. There was a war and... we won at a terrible cost. I was just a little girl then, alongside your father. I had to watch in horror as invaders were torn apart with roots spreading through their insides, men and women dying from terrible plant venom, cities razed to the ground as they were consumed in a sea of ravenous green. It was...beyond terrible."

Lavina winced at the thought of the roots or plants spreading through their insides 
"I...I now know why father created the no killing law"
she looked down at the ground 
"I hope that nothing like that will ever happen again, and I am sorry you had to witness something as horrible as that"

"It's alright," Desharin waved it off.
"It was in times long past. We grow, like the flower, and each bloom is more beautiful and inspiring than the one before."
She gave a reassuring smile.
"In the future, you may understand."

Lavina gave a slight smile
"I hope I never have to experience what you and my father did"
she looked up in the sky remembering the horrible attack on their village not long ago
"I don't think I could bear loosing anymore of our people"

she looked up at the ceiling and she started thinking about some of the things her master said and taught her

Xia tilted her head slightly. "Do you know why your master was murdered?" She asked. "If you don't mind me asking."

Xia looked at H, and tilted her head slightly to the left. "Could it have been both?" She asked.

Riastrad suddenly sat bolt upright.
"...That hurt," he said numbly. "I...I'm sorry."

Desharin nodded in agreement.
"Pain makes us strong. But it also damages the soul. Remember that."

Xia looked at Riastrad, and swung her feet off the bed. "Sorry for what?" She asked him, as she got out of the bed, and pushed Riastrad back on the bed. "And you're staying right there for the time being." She added.

H couldnt help but to chuckle at Xia pushing him back on the bed
"Better do what the lady orders"
she smiled in his direction

Lavina nodded
"I will be sure to remember that"
she stood up and looked around at the garden which was up to her standard
"I think this ought to be enough for today, don't want to tend to them too much "
she smiled
"I think I might go for a bit to eat and sit out on the balcony and watch the sun set this evening"

Riastrad groaned and sank back onto the bed.
"You... two get out alright? No injuries?"

Desharin bowed her head.
"I have duties to tend to, I am afraid. I would love to accompany you, and even among elves your connection with nature is without equal."

Lavina smiled and gave her a slight bow
"Thank you for joining me in the garden I enjoyed the company"
Lavina left the room and headed down to the cafeteria fixed herself up a plate for dinner then returned to her room. Resting on the lounge she watched the sun set as she ate her dinner. When she was finished eating the sun had completely disappeared and the stars were shining in the sky. She leaned back on her chair gazing at the stars as the twinkled in the blackened sky, thinking over what Desharin had said to her

H looked herself over
"Just a few cuts and bruises but nothing to worry about"

"I'm fine." Xia replied, and sat on the bed next to Riastrad. "So, care to explain how you became a chard skeleton, healed by fire?" She asked, as she raised her brow slightly.

There was a fluttering sound behind Lavina and Memoire was standing beside her.
"Nice night. How are you doing?"

Riastrad looked skyward.
"...It's my Hereditary magic. When I lose control I...change, and what should hurt heals and what shouldn't changes me back. It's complicated. I hope I didn't scare you."

"I can't say I was expecting to see you like that." Xia retorted, as she crossed her legs. "Though a little heads up would have been nice." She looked at Riastrad. "Are you feeling better?"

Lavina had almost fallen asleep until she heard the fluttering noise which startled her causing her to sit upright. She was about to ask who was then but realized it was Memoire. She relaxed a bit placing her hand over her heart which was now racing
"It's just you"
she said in a sigh of relief and laid back on the lounge she was sitting on she looked back at the stars
"It is a nice night, the sky is so beautiful at night"
she glanced over at him
"I am doing fine, I was just relaxing a little"
she was curious as to why he came at night and not during the day
"Is everything alright? kinda odd for you to be traveling through the night"

"Considering I'm not a charred skeleton anymore, yes I do."
Riastrad suddenly checked the window.
"Were you followed? Anyone accost you? Anyone see where you two went?"

Memoire sat next to her and didn't say anything for a while.
"Things have... escalated," he said at last. "The citadel is a bit hot to hold me. So now I'm here for the night. Might not get assassinated in my sleep tonight at least..."

Xia got up off the bed, and pushed Riastrad back on the mattress. "If we were followed, I'd imagine that they would have made themselves known by now." She replied, as she looked at H. "The noisy waitress hasn't even tried to poke around the door either."

H looked over at Riastad
"If anyone were to have followed us I think we could have handled it"


Lavina looked up at him
"The citadel? who are they"
she sat up from her seat
"What do you mean assassinate you, why would they do such a thing?"

Riastrad got up again and looked down at Xia.
"Last I checked, you can't push me around, lil' lady," he said, sounding amused.

Memoire closed his eyes.
"If I told you that it puts me in danger, would you get mad?"

"Is that so?" Xia retorted, then pushed Riasrad on the bed with both of her hands. "Stay put." She ordered sternly.

Lavina opened her mouth to comment on it but she remembered what he had told her before. That what he was doing could be dangerous and that it could result in his death. She sighed and looked down
"I would but it doesn't matter if it did or not. I agreed to allow you to do what you needed to do"

Riastrad seemed to think about making a witty retort, but relented to her ministrations.
"Fine," he said grumpily, sinking back to the bed.
"At least tell me the warpstone we took is safe."

Memoire looked apologetic.
"To save on the long story, my father had his eye on a peasant girl. She refused his advances, so he ordered her entire family executed. Unable to watch that happen, I foolishly gave them my own diplomatic immunity to escape such an unfair punishment. My father was outraged, innocent people got to live, and I came out on top."
A slight smirk passed his lips.
"But... now the word's out, and if I'm caught in the castle now I don't fancy my chances of making it through the night."

"So then you can't go back to your home?"
A look of worry was on her face
"But what about the arrangement with your brother. If you aren't able to go back home how would that work?"
she looked down at the ground
"They will come for me and there wont be anything you can do to stop it. I am glad that you helped out the family you did, no one should have their entire family executed and.."
she paused for a moment to take a deep breath
"If they come for me I will gladly go. I will do what it takes to protect my people"
